It includes fields commonly needed for a full UK VAT invoice: supplier and customer details, a sequential invoice number, dates, descriptions, quantities, unit prices, VAT rates and VAT totals in sterling. You are responsible for checking that the invoice suits your circumstances, keeping numbering sequential and getting tax advice where needed.
Yes. Set the rate per line — 20% standard, 5% reduced, 0% zero-rated, or No VAT for exempt and out-of-scope items. The totals show each applicable VAT rate separately.
Yes, and you should leave the VAT registered box unticked. The VAT column disappears and you get a clean invoice with no VAT shown. The tool cannot verify your registration or tax treatment, so check your obligations before issuing an invoice.
